After a nice LONG nights sleep, we slept in till about 9 am this morning. YES! Vacation mode!
We had pork adobo fried rice for breakfast and some maple sausage. Yum! Again, LOVE being in our timeshare! Then it was time to hit the road for some adventures at the Bonnie Springs Ranch.
We had a nice time. It was very dry out there and dusty. So a tip for those with kids, strollers are a little hard to push around because the grounds are rocky and sandy. Wear shoes, a hat or visor, and bring your sunglasses. It's super bright out there. P.S. for my military friends, ASK for a military discount. We got one and paid only $21 for the four of us! Thank you for supporting your troops!
So, we had no idea what to expect. All we knew was it was an old coal mining place that the Ghost Adventures did a show on. So they have shows every half hour from 11:30. There are only TWO actors and they were entertaining. First show was in the Saloon. It was a cute show that kids will enjoy.
Next show at noon was a shoot out and hanging. The actors require audience participation and it was really an entertaining show.
Last thing we did was the Wax Museum tour. Interesting and quick. Don't expect madame tussauds. But it was still pretty cool.
In between the shows, we walked around the area and took pictures. It was well worth the $21 and we had a nice time. They also have an old tyme photography store where you and your family can dress up and take old time photos. If you're going for the train ride, it only operates on the weekends and holidays.
