Every class is always a different experience and in this class, they really got my gears turning with their questions. One question that came up was, "What about eating out?" That was an absolutely great question and what's funny is a few months ago I was walking to lunch and saw a car with a magnetic decal on it. And that question reminded me of it.
For those who eat out often and are looking for specials or coupons, go to mrmealdeal.com. It's a legitimate website and they have lots of different restaurants listed. Or go to your favorite restaurants website and see if they offer promotions, coupons, or deals for you. Sign up for their newsletters and they will email you speicals as well.
For those who shop for clothing online. Kohls is my FAVORITE place to shop. I get my work attire for under $20 a dress. My blouses are usually around $7 and my shoes, less than $25. They offer free shipping for orders over $75 (this INCLUDES Hawaii), and with stackable savings codes, they really add up! They even give you Kohls Cash back that you can use on your next purchase. Double Yeah!
Majority of my electronics and household items I purchase online at Best Buy or Amazon. When shopping at Best Buy I pay extremely minimal amounts of money for a lot of great items. How? I use my rewards. Yes, that means I use my best buy credit card a LOT. But with the sweep program, I do NOT have debt. With Amazon Prime, I get free shipping all the time and am able to do some price comparisons against what we have here locally.
A lot of my ability to save money is research. I rarely ever purchase anything on a whim. I look for deals and shop strategically. For those that were wondering, I only shop at the commissary once every 2-3 months. I can find meat for cheaper outside when on sale and that goes for produce also.
I hope these tips help you because they sure have helped me. Enjoy the rest of your 4th of July weekend!!
